What is Accrual Leave

Accrual leave is a method of earning paid time off (such as vacation or sick leave) gradually based on time worked. Instead of receiving all their leave at the start of the year, employees accumulate it over time.

Example: If a company offers 12 days of annual leave, an employee might earn 1 day per month.

 Since its March he earned 2 Annual Leaves (From January and February months)


Employees can use their leave once they have accrued enough time. Some companies allow taking leave in advance, while others require waiting until it's fully earned. Some companies allow unused leave to be carried over to the next year, while others may have an expiry policy.
