How to Apply for Leave in Leave Central
Leave Central offers two methods for applying for leave: self-application and applying on behalf of another employee.
The dates applicable for these leaves are determined by the company's configurations. If weekends are not considered working days by your company, you do not need to select weekends as leave dates. Additionally, the system will automatically exclude country-specific holidays and other company holidays based on these company configurations.
Further, based on company configurations, you are able to apply for leave for past days. The date range also needs to be set up according to the company configurations.
If you cannot enter past leave dates yourself because of company settings, an admin can add them for you. Please contact HR for assistance.
Let's check both ways of leave application. This guide explains the step-by-step process for users to submit leave requests through the platform.
1. Apply for an own leave (Self-application)
Steps:
- If you are not login, go to the Leave Central Site. Click Here. Then login to your account.
- Navigate to the dashboard (you are directed to the Dashboard by default after logging in).

Locate the "Apply Leave" button in the top right corner of the dashboard.

Click it to open the leave application form OR Click on down Arrow and select "Leave Request" option.

Click on the desired date in the calendar for the "Leave Date From" field. This is the date that starts your leave.

Select the date for "Leave Date To" field. This field will automatically fill with the same date you chose for "Leave Date From". If your leave is longer than a day, click on the calendar to select the date for the "Leave Date To" field. This date marks the end of your leave.

Open the "Leave Type" dropdown and select the type of leave you are applying for.

- Then from the "Day Duration" field select one of the duration options. There are three types:
- Full day
- Half day morning
- Half day evening

Enter a short description or reason for the leave in the "Comment" field.

(Optional) - Attach any relevant documents in the "Upload Documents" section if needed. For that click on the "Upload Documents" area. Through the opened window, locate the document on your PC, select it(1), and then open it(2).

Finally, click the "Apply Leave" button.

You must fill in all required fields to see the Apply Leave button. Make sure to enter information in every field with a * (star) mark.
When your leave application is successful, a green confirmation message will appear in the top right corner of the site.
You may receive warning messages about applying for leave on the same dates as before. Make sure to pay attention to the notification you see.
2. Apply Leave on behalf of another employee
Only Approvers, Managers, and Administrators roles can use this option. Approvers can make requests for employees they supervise. Managers and Administrators can make requests for all employees.
Let's see how to do this. We will use the Manager account as an example. You can follow the same steps for other applicable roles as well.
Steps:

- Navigate to the dashboard (you are directed to the Dashboard by default after logging in).
- Locate the "Apply Leave" button in the top right corner of the dashboard.

To enable the option to apply for leave on behalf of another employee, click the "Assign Leave for an Employee" toggle switch.

Select the employee for whom you will apply for leave from employee dropdown. Managers and Administrators will see all employees. Approvers will see only their assigned employees.

3. Apply for a Leave with Mobile Applications
Leave Central offers a mobile app for easy management and access to leave management features. The app is available for both Android and iOS devices. Use the links below to download the app on your smartphone or tablet.
To apply for leave
using the Leave Central mobile app, follow these simple steps:
- Open the app. The
first time you open it, you will see the Dashboard page.

To get to the
Leaves page, tap the 'Leaves' button at the bottom of the screen.

You will direct to the "My Leaves" page.

- There you can see a round blue button with the plus icon at the bottom right side of your screen. Click on it.
- Then from the menu select the option Leave Request
- You will get the Leave application form.

To apply for
self leave from your mobile app, follow the steps starting from step "V"
in the above "Apply for an own leave (Self-application)" section.
