Every free and paid account comes with a Default holiday calendar. The default calendar is automatically set related to the country selected during signup. All employees are initially linked to this calendar, ensuring that leave calculations match the public holidays of that country.

For paid plans, you can add extra holiday calendars. This is useful if your teams work in different countries or states, or if you need to manage multiple teams with different holidays. Each calendar can be tailored to a specific location.

You can set your company Calendars and Holidays from the Company Holidays option. There, you can add Calendars and holidays related to any country where your company is located. Once assigned, the employee’s leave will follow that calendar, and holidays in the calendar will automatically be excluded from leave counts. This makes it easy to manage holidays across different locations and ensures that leave calculations are accurate for every employee.

To add a Company Calendar or Holiday:
First Go to settings from the side menu. Then Select the Configuration option.

In Configuration, find Company Holidays under the General Category on the page menu. It is the third option listed.

In the Company Holiday page, you will see two separate tabs for Company Calendar and Holiday. Let's check each separately.

1. Company Calendars

Here you can add Calendars related to your country or any other country related. This can be selected regarding to the Region/State as your preferences and availabilities.

Add Calendars

Here, you can first enter a name for your calendar for easy identification. Then you can select your country from the given dropdown list.
After selecting the country, you will be able to select the region/state regarding the selected country. (Optional)

After that the blue button with a plus icon will activate. Click on it to add your calendar. You can add any calendar with this way.


You will see a success message as below when calendar added to your company.

Update Calendars

To update the Calendar, click the blue pencil icon shows withing the calendar.

This will make fields editable.

After making changes, click the green round button with a right icon to save.


After saving your updates you will see the following message.


Delete Calendar

To delete an added calendar simply click on the Delete button.


You will get a delete confirmation message. Click Delete button on there too.

2. Holidays

Here you can see Company Holiday related details.
When adding holidays, you can either “Import” them or “Manually” add them.

Import by Holiday Import Option 

First, click on the Import button at the top right side of the Holidays page.

From the dropdown menu of Import button, select the Holiday Import option.


A popup window will appear, allowing you to select the required calendar and search for the available holidays.

Here you have to select the calendar to which you want to add holidays.
In the dropdown menu, you will see the Default Calendar and any other calendars that you have created through the Calendar page.

Next, select the year from the following dropdown menu. By default, it is set to the current year.

After selecting the year, click the Search button to retrieve the holiday details related to the selected calendar and year.


The available holidays will then be displayed. By default, all available holidays in the list are selected.

You can use the checkboxes provided to select or deselect the holidays you wish to import. After choosing the required holidays, click the Save button.

Import by CSV Import Option

From the dropdown menu of Import button, select the CSV Import option.


To upload a CSV, click the upload button. A popup will appear. Here, you can download the CSV template. Fill in the details in the template and upload the file in the correct format.

After Add the Holiday file click Upload button there.


Add Holidays Manually

To add holidays manually, use the provided fields. First, select the date of the holiday in the first field. Then, enter the holiday name. You may also add a description of the holiday, which is optional. After filling fields click on the blue plus icon button.




After successfully adding the holidays with any of above ways, you will see the following success message.


You can see the added holidays as shown below.


Update Holiday

You can update a holiday by clicking the blue pencil icon.

This will make the fields editable. After making your changes, click the green button with Right mark to save the updates.

Delete Holiday

To delete a holiday, click the Delete icon next to it.

In the popup confirmation window, click the Delete button again.


The holiday will then be successfully removed from the calendar.
